So, to everyone who has been hasseling me about buying a wedding dress....
Guess what?
I found my wedding dress over the weekend.
Obviously I can't post pictures of it, because I don't want the groom to see it yet.
I'm also against a lot of other people seeing it.
If everyone sees it now, it won't be as big of a surprise on our wedding day.
But I can say that it is white, simple, and strapless.
No froo-froo-ness, hardly any beading, and very elegant.
And I seriously need to go tanning and tone my arms and back.
Thanks to Mom and Dad for being great wedding dress shopping buddies.
Yes, my dad went dress shopping with me. He has always been my dress shopping buddy.
It was the first dress I tried on, at the first shop I went to.
I have been looking at catalogs and online for weeks, analyzing different styles.
Nothing really called out to me.
Maybe that's why I was so anti-dress shopping.
When I put this dress on, I felt very calm. Very pretty. Very giddy and smiley.
Mom said I had to try on a couple of others, to get the feel of different styles.
Nothing else felt right.
So, we bought the dress.
It needs a couple of alterations here and there, mainly so my boobies don't sag and fall out.
I'm also proud to say that I stayed under out "wedding dress budget."
Go team, take state.
Mom and I also went to Mr. Mac and Clark's Tuxedos to look at a tux for Trev, vests and ties for the groomsmen, and suits for the dads.
I'm totally fine with the dads and groomsmen wearing their own black pants.
Mom's not.
Why?
Woe #26: I didn't know there were different shades of black...?
Apparently black fades. Apparently black has different shades. Dad could be wearing one shade, Danny could be wearing another, and "They'd stick out like sore thumbs."
Really? I thought tuxes, suits, and groomsmen outfits would be the easy part.
Nice blog-it really makes me smile-hang in there- you are doing good!!
