Woe #45: The {insert phrase here} dress.

Yesterday's post was really happy and optimistic about our accomplishments wedding planning while we were in Lehi.
Let me counteract that with a woe.
Woe #45: The {insert phrase here} dress.
{Insert choice phrase here} could be filled in with:
....pain in the ass....
....why didn't I just choice to get married in pants....
....frustrating....
....I love Lehi Bridal, but seriously?....
....where the hell is it?....
....GAHHHHHHHHHHH....
I picked out and purchased my dress the end of March.
It's a rather simple dress, but it does need some alterations.
And I wanted it in white, not ivory.
So, the gals at Lehi Bridal said that they would order it in.
I got my dress right in the middle of "prom season".
It tickled them to death that my wedding wasn't till August.
That meant they could order in the dress and we could get my alterations done after prom season.
"After prom season" in one's mind would be the last week of May.
You know, when graduations and no more dances were taking place.
They told me in March that the last week of May would be great to get my dress done.
The last week of May was last week.
I went in to check on my dress last Tuesday.
Guess what?
They didn't have it in.
The dress hasn't even shipped yet.
I couldn't get my alterations done last week.
I couldn't even schedule my bridal portraits with Dave, because I don't have my dress yet.
I'm just a little bit... pissed.

Maybe my wish will come true, guys.
Maybe I will get to walk down the aisle in pants and a t-shirt.

P.S. I need some opinions about my veil! I will be doing a short birdcage veil, but don't know what kind to get. I would love one that comes with a flower on it to dress it up, similar to the one posted below.

I don't want the feathers, just the flower! However on my dress, I will already have a big flower on my left side, right under my boobs. Would a flower on my veil be too much? Should I just keep the veil simple? Or spice it up with a jeweled barrett? How about something kelly green on my veil to match my colors? I NEED YOUR HELP, BLOG READERS.

  1. I vote no flower. A jeweled barrett or a green bow or a green broach would be great.
