Woe #24: Finding the right shade of green is more difficult than you think.

On April 3, Trev and I will have 4 months until our wedding day.
FOUR. MONTHS.
Holy shit.

Things are getting more and more real.

1. I'm emailing our photographer today to see if we can schedule our engagements for May 31 or June 1, while we're up North for my brother's graduation. (This means we need to start looking outfits to wear, especially because springtime clothing is upon us.)
2. I'm going dress shopping this weekend with my mom to a couple of local places in Utah County. That's right, I said it: Dress shopping.
3. My parents and Trev's parents are going to meet for the very first time in a couple of weeks. I'm praying that my dad is on his best behavior, and that Mom and Michelle hit it off.
4. We're starting to look for decorations and outfits for bridesmaids and groomsmen. This is where the problem lies. . .

Woe #24: Finding the right shade of green is more difficult than you think.

I thought that choosing a basic green color, kelly green paired with white and black, would make my life simple and my wedding pretty.
There are plenty of things in white and black. Because duh, what truly doesn't come in black and white. And there are plenty of colors in lime green, light green, hunter green, emerald green, and other greens. . .
But kelly green?
Apparently the world doesn't know it exists.

The search for kelly green wedding attire and decorations goes on.

P.S. blog readers, what would you rather see a bridemaid in? A full dress, or a skirt and a cute top? Let me know!

  1. Skirt and cute top for sure! My bridesmaids had maxi dresses...super easy!
Also, my colors were hard too, so I sympathize- peacock blue.
And also again....who couldn't love your parents! Seriously, don't stress about that!

  3. Oh I totally sympathize with the green thing. I spent way too much time staring at green fabrics, papers, and ribbons trying to find that green that I really wanted. Good luck!
