Woe #16: My {almost} mother-in-law thinks I'm high maintenance.

I admit.
I'm a perfectionist. Sometimes a little OCD. I like to be in control.
But high maintenance?
Eh. Not really.
(At least I don't think I'm that bad.)

Trev was talking to his mom last night on the phone, telling her about our idea for our wedding luncheon pre-ceremony. After all, it is tradition for the groom's family to pay for the luncheon, among a couple of other things.

All we want for our luncheon is pulled pork sandwiches, some salads, and potato chips. Maybe a little dessert. Guests would include family and our wedding party. In my backyard or potentially at Highland Gardens, since we have the reception center all day. That's it. The end. Simple. Sweet.

Max cost? $150.

Michelle's response: "Oh. OH. Really? That's sounds great."

Trev: "So that's ok?"

Michelle: "Oh yeah! I was thinking like a couple thousand dollars for a luncheon, like at a hotel or something. $150 is great!"

Awkward.

A couple thousand dollars for a wedding luncheon? *cringe*

Am I really making our wedding out to be this big expensive spectacle of love?

Woe #16: My {almost} mother-in-law thinks I'm high maintenance.

Love you, Michelle!
