The First Look

So, now that we're married, I can actually post some of our bridal pictures.
I talked about the day we got our bridal pictures here, including our reactions for the first look pictures.
But let me just recap one more time that moment that is seared into the back of my mind.
Originally, I was against Trevor seeing my dress until I walked down the aisle.
There was nothing I hated more than seeing all these girls post pictures on Facebook of their bridal pictures before their wedding.
Shouldn't the dress be a surprise for everyone, including the groom?
Then I stumbled across this article on Pinterest months ago about why the groom should see the bride in her dress before the wedding.
I was convinced: Trev was going to see me in my dress.
It took some more convincing to get my traditional-minded parents on the bandwagon, but they came around.
I wanted someone to capture the moment, and Dave did a great job of doing so.
The 7th picture below is mine and Trevor's favorite picture.
The joy on Trev's face as he kisses my cheek is so clear, so strong, and so radiant.
The tears glistening in my eyes because I know that I was meant to marry this man.
The love that was captured for a moment in time.
It's that kind of picture that is going to remind both of us when the going gets tough how much we truly love each other and why we're stuck on this crazy journey called life together.
I love my Mr. Green.
