Hi. I get married soon.

I promise I haven't totally abandoned this blog.
This month is FLYING by.
Holidays, date nights, wedding planning, my best friend's wedding, bridal pictures, sending out announcements, my birthday on Friday, OUR wedding is getting closer...
*deep breath*
I'm going to sleep all through August.
{Well... I'll sleep through August after the honeymoon... ;)}

Let me just catch you up on some key details from the past couple of weeks:

1. Trevor went to Vegas on the 6th for a bachelor party with his cousin, two friends, and his best man/best friend Tyler. I know, I know; you can't believe that I let my 20 year old fiance go to Vegas with a bunch of horny-immature males (except for Tyler, who's married), but they all came back alive Sunday afternoon. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!

and because I let him go to Vegas. ;)
2. We got our bridal pictures taken last Thursday. I was up at 5:45 a.m. to shower and head over to get my hair done. Well, an hour and a half later, my hair was magical (seriously, mad respect for hair dressers who can make short hair look great!) and Mom and I were rushing home to get Trevor and Tedo. (Tedo decided to come with us, to be our helper. I love that kid.) We loaded everything up in the truck and headed on our way. I was the crazy bride doing her makeup in the front seat, trying not to jerk my eyeliner all over my face when we would hit a bump. We were literally almost to Salt Lake when Dad called, telling us we forgot one little thing: my bouquet. Swear words were exchanged and I almost cried, but then my sweet Dad offered to drive up to Salt Lake and bring it to me.  Whew, disaster averted. We met Dave at the top of Memory Grove Park and walked down into the beautiful area carrying all of our stuff. It wasn't sunny, but damn it was humid. Mom helped me into my dress, Tedo helped Trev with his tux, and then I hid behind a wall next to a smelly dumpster until Dave had Trevor set up for the first look picture. What followed was a moment I'll never forget. The way Trev's eyes lit up when he turned around and saw me, the way my heart stopped as I memorized his face, the tears that rolled down my cheeks as I looked at my best friend, the love of my life. I'm so grateful that Dave was there to capture that. I love my dress, my shoes, my hair looked great, and I felt beautiful.
**Funny story about bridals: we ended up outside of the Capitol building taking pictures on the steps and near the front entry way doors. Lucky for us, there was a tour group of Asians and a tour group of old people who just adored us. They took many, many pictures of us, and we received lots of compliments and well wishes. Tourists will take pictures of just about anything.
A little sneak peek of our bridal picture adventure.
3. All of 600 of our invitations were stuff, stamped, sealed, and organized this past weekend, and are sitting on my parents' living room floor ready to be sent out. We also did 300 thank you favors for our wedding reception. Needless to say, our fingers were pretty tired by the end of the weekend.
Working on thank you's with my boys.
Invitations, all ready to go!
4. My bridal shower on Saturday was a success. I am so blessed to have aunts willing to plan and throw one  for me, and even more blessed to have so many family members and friends come. Trevor's aunt Denise, cousin Rian, and cousin Amanda from here in Cedar City were even able to come. I ended up with some cool gifts and several gift cards. Thank you notes are on their way!

5.  I finally got a new camera! Three cheers for turning 21 on Friday. My parents won't be able to see me on my birthday because Trev and I are leaving for San Diego Wednesday morning, so I go my presents a little bit early. I was super excited about the camera, and got a little emotional over the roses from Dad. Without fail, the man has given me roses on my birthday for as long as I can remember. And each year I get older, that's how many roses I get. My 21 red roses now sit on the speaker in Trev's apartment.

6. My best friend got married to the love of her life on Saturday, and I was honored to be one of her bridesmaids. The location was perfect, the decorations were simple, and it was such a Hailey-Brandon wedding. It was a downpour shortly after they got married, but the rest of the evening (despite the wind) turned out nicely.

Worst picture everrr. Thanks, babe.

During the downpour; Trev was moving chairs and got soaked.

So happy for her!!!

7. Honestly, July has always been one of my favorite months because there is always so much going on. This year has been no exception. Trevor and I are grateful for family and friends who make our lives just a little bit happier and a lot more fun.
