Woe 54: I'm not an Indian like my mom.

This past weekend in Utah County was busy!
We got there late Thursday night because of working late hours at work.
No complaints, because more hours means more money.
Buttt on the other hand, we didn't get to Lehi until a little before 1 a.m.

Friday morning I was up and about, because I had my dress alteration appointment at 11.
{I woke Trev up too, because hey, why does he get to sleep longer than me?}
The dress appointment went great.
Mom was able to leave work and meet me there.
{Which I was SO happy about, because I was nervous about having someone else lace me up in my dress.}
The lady at Lehi Bridal, Julie, was the lady that helped me with my prom dress 3 years ago.
She is excellent and has been making dresses for a long time.
After some pinning and measuring, Julie told us to come back Saturday afternoon.
The rest of Friday was spent running errands, taking Tedo to soccer camp, shopping {Gordmans in American Fork is the best!}, trying a new restaurant {Meltyway in American Fork, where Maggie Moo's used to be; great gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches}, and going to the Lehi Roundup miniature float parade.
Not to mention that we also made homemade pizza with the boys.
Making the dough was a little difficult though...

Taking Tedo to a soccer camp. (:
Lunch at Meltyway (in American Fork) and the Lehi Roundup Parade.
Homemade pizzas!
The finished products.
My brother Trevor is an idiot, and wouldn't pose for a picture.
Saturday morning was filled with the Chuck Wagon breakfast at Wine's Park, the Grand Parade for Roundup week, and taking Tedo to the activities in the park.
Needless to say, thanks to the 100+ degree weather, we were all a little bit hot and sunburned by the time Saturday was over.
Mom and I were also able to squeeze in some wedding planning too.
{We bought ribbon for our centerpieces, and ribbon is so expensive. For real!}
We stopped at Lehi Bridal again to check on my dress,
and I'm happy to say that my dress is done!
{Mom went to go and pick it up today.}
After a brief nap on Mom and Dad's bed, Trev, Tedo, and I got ready for the Lehi Roundup rodeo.
And, as always, the rodeo was great.
It was fun to bring Tedo with us.
I couldn't help but imagine us in a few years with our own children.
We stuck around for a couple of minutes at the dirt dance after the rodeo {Tedo had to get the signatures of the rodeo queens!} and completed the night with Frosty's at Wendy's.
We had Tedo laughing so damn hard, he could hardly breathe.
He sure does love his sister and brother-in-law.
Like my sneak peek?! Thanks, Lehi Bridal!
Lehi Roundup Rodeo with my boys.
Frosty run!
Sunday was probably my favorite day of the trip.
My friend Jake came home from his mission so we were able to attend his homecoming.
All of my FFA/close guy friends are home except for one.
It was great to hear Jake speak,
and it was even better to get a big hug from him.
The luncheon afterwards was a great chance to talk and catch up with my high school friends, and for Trev to get to know them.
I got a great text from Morgan after the luncheon, that said: "
That made me get warm fuzzies.
Trevor and I broke the Sabbath by going to Men's Wearhouse to order him another tux for our bridals and groomals, and we stopped by Zumiez' s to look for kelly green shoes.
GUESS WHAT?
WE FOUND KELLY GREEN VANS.
Three cheers for the shops at Traverse Mountain!
I'm wearing a pair under my dress, and Trev's wearing a pair.
The color might be just a little bit off, but it works!
And I'm so damn excited.

We are 32 days away from the big day, and there's still so much to do!
And, reality hit that next week is our groomal & bridal pictures.
That brings up woe 54: I'm not an Indian like my mom.
My mom, her sister, and brothers all have the talent of merely walking into the sun and getting as tan as Indians.
I was blessed with my dad's whiteness, which means tanning is non-existent.
Also because of my work schedule, the sun's down by the time I get home.
So there are zero opportunities to tan.
I'm not tan at all, and I'm going to look like a white beluga whale in my wedding dress.
And you couldn't pay me $100 to get in a tanning bed.

On a positive note, look at the cute invitation my aunt sent out for my bridal shower!
I received several comments about how cute it was on Thursday,
and I hadn't seen it yet.
Thank heavens Mom got one. (:
My bridal shower invite.
Thanks, aunt Lori!
