Why?
Because...
1) He's a boy, and boys forget to wear/don't like to wear jewelry.
2) Trevor is forgetful sometimes, and will probably loose his ring in a couple of months.
3) I don't see the point in spending hundreds of dollars on a guy's ring.
4) I've watched my dad's ring sit in a box my whole life, only to be worn on "special occasions."
Our good friend Shannon (you know, the one who married Trev's best friend Tyler in April?) had the same mindset as me.
Shannon bought Tyler a nice Tungsten ring off of Amazon for like $30.
That's right ladies, a men's wedding band for only $30.
So, I followed her great example and found this ring for Trev:

I ordered it on July 16, got the notification that it was being shipped on the 17th, and received my tracking number on July 19th.
With 3 - 5 day shipping, it was supposed to arrive between July 22 - July 25.
Did it arrive?
NO.
Woe #57: The postal service sucks.
I thought maybe it was because I changed my mail address to our new apartment.
I thought maybe it was because of Pioneer Day in the middle of the week.
I thought maybe it was because it arrived while we were in California last week.
I thought maybe it was just sitting in someone else's box, because our shitty ass mailman has a problem with putting mail in the wrong boxes, even though it clearly says "Apt. A43" or "Apt. A49."
Nope.
The damn thing never even made it out of the post office in LA.
Nobody knows where it went.
The sassy black lady at the LA Post Office gave me attitude that "their packages always make it out of the office!" until she looked up my tracking number and saw that alas, it had NOT made it out of the office.
I messaged the jeweler yesterday, and begged for a new ring to be expedited to me.
Because, you know, we're getting married in FOUR days.
Like a good business, they said sure we'd love to, sorry that the post office sucks.
Last night, I got an email from this said business.
Lucky for me, the ring that I ordered was the last one in their stock.
They don't have any more to give me a replacement.
*grumbling*
So, I just spent $23 on a new ring, exactly like the one above, and paid another $20 to have it arrive at my parents house in two days.
So thank you post office, for reminding me why you should go out of business, and why I always use FedEx and UPS.
The United States Postal Service: always losing packages and customers, one day at a time.
