We got a photographer! (:
Rewind to last weekend: meh, it wasn't that pretty. After all of the excitement of getting a venue, I was on a roll. I sat on Pinterest for hours planning our wedding down to the littlest detail, while Trev played checkers and PayDay with my little brother. I kept pressuring my parents about how we now needed to sit down and discuss getting a photographer.
Hello, major bridezilla moment. Mom and Dad said that they wanted referrals from people who had actually dealt with the photographer, that they wanted to call and discuss packages with each photographer, and finally they wanted to arrange a sit-down meeting with each photographer. Seriously, guys? I've spent how much time looking up photographers, emailing them, and trying to stay on my budget and now you want to do this? Let's just say I went a little ballistic threw the words "bull shit" around a lot, cried, and stormed up to my room, leaving my fiance alone on the couch to deal with my inconsiderate parents.
After a lot of cooling down on my part, I emailed my parents my very detailed list of photographers and left it in their hands. Since Dad had shoulder surgery the beginning of January and still isn't allowed to go back to work, he spent a lot of time this past week calling photographers.
Finally, after a lot of stress for everyone involved, Dad and Mom met with one of my top photographer choices yesterday. They LOVED him.
Trev and I are looking forward to working with Jaffa Photography. Click on this link here to go to his website and see his amazing gallery of pictures.
But now woe #8 is distance sucks. I love living in Cedar City, but commuting back and forth to Utah County for wedding plans and to meet with our photographer is going to cost a pretty penny (thanks to you, President Obama, for our rising gas prices). After all, we are trying to save for a wedding/college and gas at $3.29 a gallon (can't imagine what it's going to be like in the summer) isn't a pretty situation.
Sigh. . . the things we do for love. ;)
